What's different about our Farmers' Market booth?

  • Who's touched your berries? We require all of our employees harvesting and working at our market booth to wear food handling gloves. Most people don't want to wait until they get home to rinse their berries before eating them.  We have a hand wash station at our booth that customers are welcome to use for their hands or to rinse off their berries.
  • It’s all about “Flavor”! Our raspberries and blackberries are ripe, sweet, and full of flavor as they are freshly machine harvested the morning of the Farmers’ Market or delivery date. Only the ripe berries come off the plant.
    • Hand picked raspberries and blackberries are usually picked a day or two before the market, they tend to be more attractive than machine harvested berries, and they have a good flavor.
    • If you want the BEST tasting berries for your recipes buy machine harvested! Try a FREE sample at our booth!
  • Special early order price: We offer a special price to customers who order before harvest.
  • Senior Discount: We are one of the only berry vendors that offer a senior citizen discount to customers 55 and over.

Frequently Asked Questions

Meeker Red Raspberry: Fruit is medium to large, medium to dark red, firm, with high sugar content and delicious flavor. Bred to be stronger and firmer so that it can withstand mechanical harvesting without loss of quality in the harvested berry.

Meeker red raspberries are well suited for commercial or home freezing, as well as jams and jellies, with a small percentage of the crop destined for fresh markets locally and worldwide.  In Oregon, the majority of the crop is processed as individually quick frozen raspberries, frozen raspberry puree, or frozen raspberry juice concentrate. Other processing methods include canning, drying, processed bakery fruit fillings and flavoring, as well as aseptic packaging.

Black Diamond Blackberry also known as Thornless Evergreen: The fruit is black, one and half inches long, firm and sweet. The most productive of all the commercially grown blackberries is the Black Diamond, or Thornless Evergreen.  This variety is very popular with growers because of it's ease in growing and larger yields. The Black Diamond  is very vigorous, disease resistant and productive, yielding 6-10 tons per acre.
